In the picture with me reading the prayer, It was the old Scottish version of the Lord's prayer which we use, not the modern Anglified version.

Mike, I will email you a copy of this if you ever want to use it an an event.

Re: 1st Commemmoration march of the anniversay of the Lamont massacre.

It's quite beautiful. Mairead, I hope you'll not mind me sharing it here.

The Scots Lord Prayer Circa 1560
Our Father which in Heaven art,
And make us all one brotherhood;
We call upon thee with our heart,
Our heavenly Father and our God;
Grant we pray not with lips alone,
But with the hearts deep sigh and grone.
Thy Blessed Name be sanctified,
Thyne holy Word mought us inflame;
In holy life for to abide,
To magnify thine holy Name;
From all errors defend and keep,
The little flock of thy poor sheep.
Thy Kingdome come even at this hour,
And henceforth everlasting;
Thine Holy Ghost into us power,
With all his gifts most plenteously;
From Satan’s rage and filthy band,
Defend us with thy mighty hand.
They will be done with diligence,
Like as in heaven on earth also;
In trouble grant us patience,
Thee to obey in wealth and woe;
Let not flesh, blood nor any ill,
Prevail against thine holy will.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And all other good gifts of thine;
Keep us from war, and from bloodshed,
And from sickness, dearth and pine;
That we may live in quietness,
Without all greedy carefulness.
Forgive us our offences all,
Relieve our careful conscience;
As we forgive both great and small,
Who unto us have done offence;
Prepare us Lord to serve thee,
In perfect love and unity.
Amid the great trial lead us,
That evil overtake us not;
For the Kingdome within us is Thine,
With its Power and its Glory;
Even for ever more,
Amen.

Delighted that you posted it here Mike. I find it rather beautiful myself, and wherever I have read this, people have approached me for a copy, so when I go to an event where I am to take the prayer, I carry a few copies with me.
