Duncarron Fort

Na Fir Dileas men are presently giving a hand to the Saor Patrol of the Clanranald who are constructing Duncarron, a Medieval Fort up by the Carron Dam.
The construction is being built by hand, after the ground had also been hand cleared, and will be built using only timber which the men are felling. The project will take several years to complete and when finished will be a replica of an ancient fort.
It is being built entirely by hand as it would have been in ancient times, with no machinery being used except hand tools (saws, axes etc).
When completed, it is hoped that the building will then be used as a venue for events and to educate people about our past way of life.
