Donald MacAlpin was born 812 and died on 13th April 862. He was king of the Picts from 858 to 862. He followed his brother Kenneth I to the throne. Donald died, either at the palace of Cinnbelachoir (location unknown), or at Rathinveralmond (also unknown). He was buried on the Island of Iona.
