Ah that brings back such great memories. I was at Balloch on the night Runrig performed there and it was electric. The crown sang Loch Lomond to Runrig as their boat pulled away from the shore at the end of the evening. Fantastic night. The sound of the group could be heard from miles away.

When I was a wee 'un my mom sang this to me. This post brought happy yet sad tears to me. My mom is still alive, but has suffered several strokes. She can sing to me no more. Another she used to sing was "Down by 'ole Killarney" & ironicly we later moved to a street named Killarney Lane. Later uneducated city officalls renamed it & the 2 cross streets "Kill Arney," "Lock Invar," & "Lock Lomand" Previously all 3 were spelled correctly. I know Killarney is Irish, not Scottish, but would it be ok to add one here? I do not know how to add one even if such exists. |
