If this election is called in the Autumn it will be interesting to see how the SNP will do here in Scotland. The SNP have made an excellent start but will the people of Scotland vote for them in a General Election. It may be that the people of Scotland will look on the general election as a bit of an irrelevance when we have a Nationalist Government at home and decide that it is pointless coming out to vote or they like what they see and will come out in Droves to return more Nationalists to the British Parliament where they will be in a position to influence British Policy in Scotland. The other thing of interest is will Gordon Brown stand for his current constituency here in Scotland or will he opt for a safe English seat. Once again we possibly are approaching another very interesting period in Scottish Politics. What I would do is to urge ALL Nationalists in Scotland to stand shoulder to shoulder in a show of unity against the British Government. M... |
