That was with a lot too much to drink. Believe me, he regretted what he said. I may not be a pastor like Mike, but believe me, I can preach with the best of them when my anger is up. His ears were burning by the time I got through. You may have noticed, there never was another attack like that.

The media have a great deal to answer for. The scare mongering they were and are a party to is disgraceful. They continue to perpetuate fear about the break up of the union. The papers such as the The Sun and The Daily Record are a disgrace here in Scotland. I accept structured debate but there was nothing constructive about these papers in the run up to the Scottish elections.

Here we are nearly 6 months on and Scotland continues to survive under a Nationalist Government. Whether things are better or worse is entirely a matter of individual opinion but the fact of the matter is Scotland still exists, Scotland is not a basket case and will hopefully now thrive with a Government that puts Scotland first and not their political masters in England.

Anyway I think it best to admonish myself for wandering off topic, I will take my warning and try not to let it happen again

Cupcake, I lived in Philadelphia for 3 months at the end of last year. I absolutely hated it! It was the most unfriendly town I have ever been in. I moved there to help my cousin out with his restaurant, but just couldn't take it and had to come back to Indiana. So much friendlier here!!

I have been to the states before, but only stopped in Florida, Vermont and Washington DC.
Although my trip did take us from Montreal in Canada right through many other states, I did not have time to stop en route except for a Motel or to eat. We went by car and it sure was a Loooong trip and I did see a lot of the US..
