Now that looks like that could possibly be a good place to sit down and have a cup of coffee and a good blether.

The quiet, unspoiled beauty of this place is enough to just take your breath away.

Maitland, you've succeeded in making me even more 'home'-sick.

Special thanks to Maitland for these images

Indeed it was and is. It is also the place where Archibald Campbell was betrayed. He was the Doctor who helped the Injured Jacobites during the 45. He was tried for treason and condemned to death.

Me too Maitland.

Can't wait until I can come back. Hopefully next May, if I am sufficiently recovered by then.

Liz, you got to meet Maitland when we were all in Lanark for the Wallace Homecoming, didn't you?

(Not that my memory is slipping, you'll understand... )

Mike, I probably saw him, but nobody bothered to introduce us. I met the Sailor, ScottH, Montrose, Bonnie Dundee, David Ross, Black Devon and Jacobiker, and showed Mikey around Douglas. The rest were faces without names.

We didn't even come that close Liz. I bumped into Mickey and we went looking for you but unfortunately for some reason we couldn't find you. I am sure there will be a next time.

We are out and about today but we are only off to a country park with the kids so I doubt any photographs will be of interest. If however we get to walk around the extensive walks then I will try and get a few photographs that may be of interest.
