Warm here too Mike. Are you going to get the high winds? Winds are to start here around noon. State is looking for massive power outages and uprooted tress. ](#,)

The wind's darned near scooted us up into Michigan! And the rain just keeps coming down.

The snow has been lying here for close to 2 weeks. Temperatures haven't really risen much above freezing lately with temperatures a few days ago down to around -14 here.

It has now been snowing for the last 3 hours but it is forecast to turn to rain this afternoon with overnight temperatures at 0 rising to around 4 tomorrow. We should see the snow disappear over the next couple of days thankfully.

A casualty of the snow was a friends wee boy. Out sledging with his pals when they all came off the same sledge (3 boys). He broke his Femur but due to where he was sledging the ambulance couldn't get to him and he was left in the snow for around 2 hours. Thankfully he got to hospital and was operated on a couple of days ago. Prior to the operation they discovered a heart murmur but once they got into the operation he lost a great deal of blood that needed two blood transfusions before and after the operation.

In hospital for 2 weeks and no sports activity for several months. Steel bolt through his Femur with a number of other pins in place to hold things together. There will plenty of beeping the next time he goes through airport security !!

WOW, what a night. It was just like hurricane Ike when he blew through Ohio.

Sorry to hear of the little boy Maitland.

Sledding can be tough business. I used my ribcage to break a 4" X 4" fencepost off at the ground once. That was the end of my sledding.

The wind here was awful. We were lucky in that we only lost power for about 20 minutes. Some areas are still without power.

Arrrrgh, I'm just SICK of winter weather.
I fear not hell, nor English strife,
For Scotland, I will give my life

Amen! So far as I am concerned, it cannot get warm fast enough.
