The Real Gorbals Story (True Tales from Glasgow's Meanest Streets) by Colin MacFarlane ISBN 978-1-84596-207-4

I have just started reading this book and already I am hooked. I don't think you need to have come from Glasgow to appreciate Colin MacFarlane's writings.

Well worth a read if you get a chance.
