The Scottish Liberal Democrats have not ruled out a referendum on Scottish independence.

BBC NEWS | Scotland | Scott 'not ruling out' referendum

I wish the Liberal Democrats would make their position clear. I assume now that the moment Scotland comes out of this recession then they will support a referendum on Scottish Independence. We are told that Scotland should be coming out the recession in 2010. I would therefore suggest that that fits in well with the timescale set by the SNP.

One thing from the article that I noted was the Liberal Leader stating that if the people of Scotland wanted Independence they should vote for the SNP, would he then accept under these conditions that there would be no need for a referendum and the SNP would just repeal the Act of Union and declare Scottish Independence, I think not !

Another interesting link. Are things shaping up for a referendum with three options?

BBC NEWS | UK | Scotland | SNP 'open' to referendum options

Lib Dems discussing their opposition to a referendum at the end of this month and Alex Salmond now saying that he will not rule out a third question.

A third option will be a slippery slope, in my not-so-humble opinion. The definition of it being a vaguely (or most likely, a verbosely) worded proposition is not easily defined. Whose definition will be applied? From my vantage point, this appears to be the introduction of yet another obstacle. I pray I am wrong.
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you and I think about you all the time. Caledonia, you're calling me and now I'm going home.
