I want to wish all our U.S. members and guests a very safe and happy Independence Day!

I hope all of you will take just a few minutes to remember what this day is all about, prior to getting involved in the family get-togethers, the cookouts and the fireworks.
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you and I think about you all the time. Caledonia, you're calling me and now I'm going home.

Ahhh, I feel the dolt. I had forgotten. And now I can't recall which of the girls shares the same birthday. (Not that I am getting old and forgetful, you'll understand!)

I suppose there was no leftover cake to share with the rest of us? :winkn:

Customary greetings to all. Please give Mrs. M my best.

Jessica was 14 on Sunday and I was 30. BBQ had under the garage door as we had driving rain, thunderstorms and gusts of 70mph. Approximately 15 teenagers turned up with some leaving at 11am the next morning.

Mrs M in Ireland at the minute and Jessica at her pals. Elise out with a pal at the Roman Camp and myself and the wee man about to prepare dinner (Chicken in Blackbean Sauce and noodles with prawn crackers) and Mike no there was no cake left, piggy Mrs M ate the lot !!!

Don't let Maitland fool you. He tries pulling the disrespectful routine around here, but I've seen him in action. He grumps about Mrs. Maitland's spending habits, but I've been present when she asked him for money. Then, when the girls saw how easy it was, they both stripped him of some funds too.

I saw your house yesterday, Maitland. Google Maps has finally opened up street view for the dis-United Kingdom, so I was browsing about your wee village. I was surfing about Bridge of Allan and the Land of Speed Bumps, as well. Whilst looking at the latter, I saw the trellis at the pavement and the blue door have been replaced.
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you and I think about you all the time. Caledonia, you're calling me and now I'm going home.

Mike I only let them do that because you were there. I din't want to portray myself as some tight, skinflint Scotsman !!

Ah yes google maps. I can actually remember the google car driving round the scheme and wondering what the h*ll it was.

Yeah, I remember seeing them go past the shop, the day this was taken -

I was sitting at the counter, about where the arrow indicates, as they rolled by. You can see my red pickup sitting in the parking lot. I know all the ladies will be greetin', but there is no way to zoom in any more than that, so my astonishingly handsome countenance cannot be seen.
