Well, the weekend of 8 & 9 September are the dates for the 16th Annual Columbus, Indiana Scottish Festival.

Starringashrslf has told me so long as I behave, she would let me go to the festival with her. So, I'm officially on best behavior. O:)

It's as close as I'm going to get to Edinburgh, again this year.
Oh, but let me tell you that I love you and I think about you all the time. Caledonia, you're calling me and now I'm going home.

Hope you have a great day out.
It fascinates me just how many Highland games are held in the different parts of the USA and I feel so proud that so many have never forgotten their roots or their ancestors.
I fear not hell, nor English strife,
For Scotland, I will give my life

Well this is the weekend for the Columbus Festival, but the original post was posted last year. ;)

I considered going down, but the weather here is pretty ratty. Rain is predicted through Sunday, and then the rain from Hurricane Ike is due to arrive here on Monday. So we're socked in for a few days. (Thank Goodness all we'll see of Ike is rain!)

You were unaware I lived so close to Dłn Eideann? It's less than 100 miles, honest. :D

When Maitland first saw that picture, he accused me of driving on the wrong side of the road. ;)

Mike,

Wouldn't that make the whole games that much more authenic with real Scottish Weather?

The only Games I ever visited whilst in Scotland were threatening rain the entire day. It was in early July and I was thankful for the jacket I had worn.
