    Hello everyone! I am delighted to have found this site as I have just finished writing a play about the Highland Clearances..the research made me realise what a harrowing chapter of scotland's History it was and I can well! understand why the bitterness of the Highlanders and their decendants have lasted up until the present day.

    Hi! everyone I am very interested in the highland clearances as I have just finished writing a play about them..the research made me realise what a harrowing chapter in Scotland's History it was...I can understand why the bitterness of the Highlanders and their decendents still linger to the present day..I doubt if lessons will be learnt and the Highlands will still remain a bleak and melancholy place
